Your Voice Matters: Support MOAA’s 2026 Advocacy in Action
Greetings from MOAA!
Each year, I am reminded of the strength of MOAA's 350,000+ membership — spanning all eight uniformed services — not just in numbers, but in commitment. When MOAA members engage, Congress listens.
That impact is especially important right now.
On April 15, MOAA advocates from across the country will meet with lawmakers on Capitol Hill as part of our annual Advocacy in Action event. We will visit hundreds of offices to advance priorities affecting servicemembers, veterans, their families, and survivors.
These conversations are critical, but they are strongest when lawmakers have already heard from their constituents. That’s where you come in.
As our advocates take these issues to Capitol Hill, you can amplify their impact by taking action on this year’s Advocacy in Action priorities:
Topic #1: The ‘Wounded Veteran Tax’
Topic #2: Protect Servicemember Pay During Federal Shutdowns
Topic #3: Stop Predatory VA Claims Agents And Protect Veterans’ Earned Benefits
Topic #4: Improve Access to Care at Military Facilities
These priorities reflect real challenges facing the uniformed services and veteran communities, and real opportunities for meaningful progress.
By reaching out to your lawmakers, you reinforce our in-person Advocacy in Action meetings and help ensure Congress understands both the issue and the people behind it.
Thank you for your continued commitment to our shared mission, and for standing with MOAA as we continue to Never Stop Serving.
With the deepest appreciation,
